Wonderful Dessert & Cafe
Hi Boba Friends!
I am back with another review from Wonderful Dessert & Cafe in San Francisco. There are so many boba shops on Irving in the Outer Sunset District, but this shop is supposedly the best one. I've been to this place twice now, so I can say that I am not sold on that title.
I got the number one on their menu which is just a regular milk tea with boba (tapioca). The drink had a tea flavor that I usually like, but there was nothing special or outstanding about the drink. The boba was also alright - it wasn't super soft or firm. The store is also not really a 'cafe.' It also sells candy and some herbal Chinese ingredients. On the upside, my drink was only $2.75 - which is uber cheap! I like that! I recommend that you go try it yourself and tell me how it goes. Maybe I got the wrong drink? For now I will give it a 3 out of 5 rating. Happy reading!

Gong Cha - Fremont
Boba Friends!
I am back with another review from Gong Cha in Fremont. I have been to this location many times and there is always a line out the door! I think it is mostly due to how small the store is.
Anyways, I stopped by on a Friday night after Boiling Point. I got my all-time favorite drink which is the Milk Foam Green Tea with pudding. I got it 100% sweet and 50% ice. I don't know why, but this drink is soo good! I love the creaminess of it - Gong Cha probably has the best milk foam drinks around IMHO. Mix in the tea with the milk foam and you have yourself one of the best drinks around! Their pudding is also pretty good, but the one I got this day was sadly just a small chunk. Their prices are reasonable, and they have two sizes that you can choose from. There is also no credit card limit, so no need to get cash! That is always a plus for me since I never have cash with me. I would give Gong Cha a 4 out of 5 rating for this visit because of the pudding. =(

The Sweet Corner
Hi Boba Friends!
I went to 3 (yes, 3) different milk tea shops this week just for you! The first one that I went to was The Sweet Corner, which is located in the back of Vietnam Town on Story Rd. in San Jose. I love the atmosphere of Sweet Corner with its French inspired theme.
I have been here multiple times, but my review will just focus on this visit. I went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy with all the tables filled. The interaction with the cashier was quick and friendly. Their menu is full of different drinks and Vietnamese desserts, but I ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea with regular boba and 100% sugar. The drink was just right, not too sweet or bitter. You can definitely taste the tea in the drink compared to other places. I did not like the boba - it was too chewy and hard for my taste. The outside of the boba was soft, but once on the inner side, it was not fully cooked. (For reference, my favorite boba is Tpumps boba.) Overall, I would give my drink a 3.5 out of 5 rating.
There are a couple of downsides to Sweet Corner. The first one is that the credit card minimum is $10, so come with cash if you are not looking to spend $10 on drinks or desserts. They only have one size (which is decent), but the prices are a little high. For only one size, the drink I got was about $4.25 - this is definitely considered pricey in the San Jose area.
Look forward to my upcoming reviews on 2 other shops soon!

I created this blog for my Social Media Marketing class at SJSU. I will be using it to write about the different milk tea shops that I go to in the Bay Area - specifically in the San Jose Area, but once in awhile the shops will be from San Francisco or a nearby city. The posts will be review style with my overall opinion on how the milk tea and boba (or other toppings) are.
FYI my favorite milk tea is Jasmine milk tea + boba or egg pudding.
Thanks for reading!
